The Seniors and Juniors met on Carthagena to maintain a tradition dating back 44 years - competing for the TSB Trophy.
Teams of eight from each section enjoyed pleasant Autumn conditions - a far cry from the stormy weather in the days leading up to the contest.
Once again the Juniors proved their prowess, beating the Seniors 2½ - 1½.
The opening match was between Seniors Captain David Barlow and Dave Wood facing Juniors Chloe Church and Harry Pope. Captain David was full of praise for the Juniors who romped home winners 7&5. Highlights included Harry's nett eagle on the 12th and Chloe chipping in for a half on the 8th.
"We played really well, but never got a look in," said David.
In match 2, Terry Domagala and Chris Walker faced Freya Pallet and Lucas Buxton. It was very close all the way round with no less than 10 holes halved. And it ended ... halved.
In match 3 Andy Brown and Daniel Emkes teed off against Georgia Gordon and Fraser Johnstone, losing 3&1.
In match 4 the Seniors saved some face with Peter Imray and Graham Gadsden beating Harry Smead and Henry Phillips 4&3.
In keeping with tradition the Seniors bought lunch for their opponents while the teams compared notes.
Georgia Gordon accepted the Trophy on behalf of the Juniors.
