Bailiff Shield August 19 2025

Colin Norman is presented with the Bailiff Shield by Seniors Captain Tony Lloyd

High scoring was the order of the day when 98 seniors converged on the Carthagena course for the Bailiff Shield.
Thirty-one players scored better than their handicaps in perfect conditions - not too hot, not too sunny, not too breezy!
In first place with 46 points was in-form Colin Norman. Colin walked away with the Bailiff Shield as well as a £40 pro shop voucher.
In second place, with 44 points was George Simmons who won a £30 pro shop voucher and in third place, also with 44 points and a £20 pro shop voucher was Seniors Captain Tony Lloyd.
Divisional prizes of £20 vouchers were won by:
Div A (up to 14 handicap) Ian Simpson
Div B (15 to 19) Dave Wrench
Div C (20 and above) Tim Palmer
The results shook up the Golfer of the Year leaderboard which now reads:
Ian Simpson: 67 pts
Dave Wrench 63 pts
George Simmons: 63 pts
Colin Norman: 48 pts
Bill Walker: 43 pts
You can see the full leaderboard on the club website under ongoing competitions or by following the link in the Sunday morning newsletter.
