Golfer of the Year Paul Hammond with Seniors’ Section Captain Bill Walker
The coveted Seniors’ Section Golfer of the Year Award has been won by Paul Hammond, who chalked up 93 points over the season.
Paul, with two wins, already had the title in the bag before the final qualifier - the Autumn Singles Stableford - but the result of that competition decided the other places, leaving Alan Kirkham in second place with 79 points, Lawrence Wilson in third with 68 points, Barry Donovan in fourth with 65 points and Geoff Elcome in fifth with 58 points.
Commiserations to Andy Shilton who was squeezed out at the last with 56 points.
