Seniors Captain Richard Westergreen-Thorne presents winners Peter Jarman and Keith Howlett with the 4BBB Trophy
It was the longest Seniors competition of the year.
I'm not talking about slow play, but the length of time since this competition was due to be played in March, abandoned because of the weather and replayed today on a pleasantly mild, dry day in October.
And it was worth the wait, for some at least, with some good scores posted.
The top three pairs all came in with 41 points, separated only on countback.
This left Peter Jarman and Keith Howlett winners, Colin Norman and Ian Riches runners-up and Algy Grimes and Richard Young in third place.
Thanks go to Dave Wrench whose partner had to withdraw at the last minute but who volunteered to go round with eventual winners Peter and Keith as marker.
£10 raffle prizes were won by Peter Sweeney, David Price, Paul Life and Jed Isbell. The money will be added to their pro shop accounts.
