Winners Graham Berry and Rob Bage receive the trophy from Seniors Captain David Barlow
Seniors Captain David Barlow described today's winners as "thoroughbreds" who set off in the final group but raced through the field to pip everyone at the post.
Congratulations to Graham Berry and Rob Bage who scored an impressive 44 points playing from the Carthagena yellow tees - the whites having been taken back in after the Sutton Cup to protect the tee squares.
In second place, also on 44 points but pipped on countback, were Peter Imray and Nick Seeley.
And in third place, with 43 points, were Len Greaves and David Hooper.
Commiserations to Tony McLean and Paul Clark, also on 43 points, but narrowly missing out on a podium place on countback.
The competition was played in pleasant Spring conditions but on recently tined greens which proved a challenge.
Raffle winners were Stephen Cherry, Paul Dobson, Bill Conway and Philip Bracken who each receive £10 pro shop credit.
Thanks to Competitions Secretary Nigel Underwood for organising and keeping one of our most complicated events on track.
