Senior Section Captain Tony Lloyd presents winners Bob Isaacson and Chris Saunders
with the 4BBB Trophy
The second Senior Section event of the year - the 4BBB Trophy - resulted in high scoring, with 14 pairs coming in with 40 points or more.
Two John O'Gaunt holes - the 7th and 13th - were shortened and playing on temporary greens which may have helped the scores.
But on the other hand the greens had just been hollow tined and sanded, leading to quips about playing on Blackpool beach! No gain without pain as they say.
Richard Westergreen-Thorne has booked good weather for all our competitions this year and he almost met the brief. Mostly fine but decidedly chilly was the outcome.
In third place, on 44 points, and winning pro shop vouchers to the value of £20 each, were John Whitbread and Nigel Underwood.
Runners up, winning £30 each, were Mike Bonwick and Tony Lloyd, also on 44 points.
But the clear winners, each taking home a £40 voucher, were Chris Saunders and Bob Isaacson who scored an impressive 46 points.
Raffle prize winners were Chris Saunders, Jed Isbell, Pat Gilgallon and Alban Macdonald. They each receive £10 on their pro shop accounts.
