Winners Kate Price and Paul Jones with Seniors' Captain Richard Westergreen-Thorne and Ladies' Captain Lorna Jerome
There was some great golf, good company and no one got wet! We can say the competition season is truly under way after a successful Ladies and Seniors Greensomes Competition.
The event was switched to Carthagena from John O'Gaunt because of the ongoing restrictions on the old course - thank goodness we have a free-draining second course.
There were some good scores, as you would expect with Greensomes. The winners, on 47 points, were Paul Jones and Kate Price, their highlight being a birdie on the par 5 10th.
Close behind them with 46 points, and only separated on countback, were Paul Hammond and Anna Hoad in second place and Ian Riches and Nicola Wase in third.
Nine other pairs scored 40 or more.
