SENIORS AWAY DAY 2018 - 12th September Kettering Golf Club

This was the fourth running of the Seniors Away Day and 40 of us attended Kettering Golf Club for a full English Breakfast and 18 holes of golf. The weather was very good and the course in good condition considering the dry summer we have had.

 

Kettering Golf Club is not the easiest place to find, and a number of us got lost. However, everybody made their tee time.

 

We had nearest the pin on the 5 par 3’s and 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and last for prizes. I believe everybody had a good time and we were made very welcome by Kettering.

 

The winner was Jim McIlwaine with 36 points and wins the Jim Peacock Away Day Shield. Second was Dave Wood with 35 and 3^rd Keith Fuller with 34.

 

Last was Geoff Beck with ? and nearest the pin winners were Peter Imray, Gerry Gentle, Bernard Gurney, Derek Young and Jim Peacock.

 

Next year we will be at Market Harborough Golf Club on Thursday 12^th September and the cost will be £35.
