Well I have at last got my name on a Seniors Trophy, it took Herculean efforts from John Wade and Fred Williams to do it, so thank you to them and commiserations as they both got cut for their efforts.
With 69 players it was a good turn our for the Gordon Percival and the weather was lovely if a little breezy towards the end. The scoring was good, despite some bumpy and unpredictable greens, but, with 106 points we were six ahead of second placed Derek Page, Bill Walker and Peter Dean. Unfortunately Derek had a family matter to deal with so couldn't stay.
In third place on count back were Phil White, John Sandland and Richard Westergreen-Thorne with 96 points. Unfortunately all of them were all absent for the prize giving !!
