Well it was worth waiting for!
The annual ladies and seniors scramble, cancelled in October because of heavy rain, was finally played in much improved conditions but with a smaller field.
Twenty-eight ladies and 28 seniors took to the John O'Gaunt course on a chilly but dry day and, with a two tee start, were able to congregate in the clubhouse for a very sociable natter afterwards.
Scoring was close, with only five points between first and last place.
In third place, with nett 62, were Sara Fowler, Jeff Thompson, Dave Wilsher and Rose Wrench.
Runners-up, with nett 61, were Dick Cobb, Chris Ellis, Paul Hammond and Pat Lloyd.
But the winners on countback, also with nett 61, were Jenny Edwards, Phil Farrow, Nicola Hunter and Nigel Underwood.
Congratulations to organisers Nigel Underwood and Kate Price for resurrecting the competition and making it run so smoothly.
Runners-up: Paul Hammond, Dick Cobb, and Pat Lloyd who played alongside Chris Ellis
Third place: Rose Wrench, Dave Wilsher and Sara Fowler who played with Jeff Thompson
