The unsung heroes of 2020, who were denied a trophy presentation because of Covid 19 restrictions, got their moment in the sun - or in the conservatory at least - with a special evening to celebrate their successes.
Seniors Captain Bill Walker opened the proceedings on a sombre note with a moving tribute to Seniors stalwart and former Captain Jim Peacock who passed away on Wednesday December 1. All those present stood to toast the section's ever-popular and inspirational friend.
Captain Bill explained that the evening was to celebrate seven winners from 2020 and four from 2021 who were unable to attend the annual dinner and presentation on Tuesday December 7. He also paid thanks to Master of Ceremonies Dave Wood for organising the trophies, both presentations and the annual dinner.

Richard Coventry, winner of the Autumn Singles Stableford Trophy
Ian Riches, winner of the Reg Batson Aggregate Trophy
Nick Schumann, winner of the Martin Ives Memorial Trophy
Philip Armstrong, winner of the Leo Pickett Two (now three) Clubs and a putter competition
Paul Dobson who with Peter Imray was runner-up in the 2021 Foursomes Knockout Trophy
Geoff Elcome who with Richard Cooper and Andy Brown won the Gordon Percival Team Trophy
