Captain David Gauge welcomed in the last group |
The 5th annual JOG Seniors Away Day was held on
Thursday 12th September 2019 at a hilly Market Harborough Golf Club.
Yet again the weather was very good, although a bit windy!
40 seniors eat a
hearty full English breakfast before trying to overcome a tricky, yet rewarding
course.
There were 5 par threes and nearest the pin was won by Gerry Degaute,
Clive Morley, Tony Goodson, Rob Bolans and Ray Smart. (Pictured below)
The main competition was
a full handicap stableford, playing for the Jim Peacock Seniors Away Day
Shield. This was won by Jonathan Lean with 35 points, second was Gerry Gentle
with 34 points (on count back), third was Ian Simpson with 34 points (on count
back) and 4th was Malcolm Lee with 34 points (on count back). (Pictured below)
A very
enjoyable day was had by all and hopefully everybody will be able to attend
next year’s event.
